I am a Child of Divorce (COD). I am 24 years old and my parents divorced when I was 12. Coming into adulthood, I am having many thoughts and learning many lessons on love, life, marriage and family.
This blog will have many thoughts and stories on what it was like to be a child of divorce, how it affects our youth today and the many struggles I still face even after 12 years of my parents being divorced. Throughout college I really enjoyed writing and my minor is in Sociology. I have written a few papers on what divorce has been like for me and written a few research papers on the topic as well. I have always wanted to write a book on my experiences and find this to be a great outlet if I ever choose to do so. I really hope this blog will help the many children of divorce out there, and especially the parents who will be or are putting their children through the struggles of divorce.
